Dads and daughters… mark your calendars for the 18th Annual Father Daughter Dance. Celebrate a magical evening together dancing the night away, while spending quality time together. Guests may choose to attend the dance on either Friday, February 3rd or Saturday, February 4th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Frank W. Mayborn Convention Center (3303 North 3rd Street) in Temple.
“Over the years, this event has become a tradition for many area families as it allows dads and their daughters a special time to get dressed up, dance, have fun, and share a memorable evening together,” said Belinda Garcia, Father Daughter Dance Coordinator. “Last year we had over 1,800 guests attend the dances and we expect that number to increase this year.”
Due to the popularity of the Father Daughter Dance, two nights will be available to choose from to attend the dance. In addition, time has been set aside for fathers of special needs daughters to enjoy the festivities from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, should they choose to do so. Additional information and admission tickets for this special time may be obtained through the Children’s Special Needs Network by calling 933-7213.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door. General Admission tickets are $12 per person and can only be purchased online at TempleParks.com. Tickets are extremely limited, so it is highly encouraged to purchase tickets early. Dads of all ages are welcome to attend, but all daughters must be 18 and under.
Each special young lady will receive a small gift upon arrival and everyone will enjoy a light dessert snack provided by Schlotzsky’s. Additional food and drink items will be available for purchase. Master’s Image Photography will be onsite taking photos which will also be available for purchase. Music will be provided by DJ Joe Olivares with Wedding Pros DJ & Photography.
