The Central Texas State Fair kicked it into high gear on Friday Night at the Bell County Expo Center with a high-octane show inside and outside the dome.
Things got off to a loud and fun start with the return of Twisted Metal Mayhem. Destruction Derby madess started with Shannon Dyer outlasting all the men in the first round of the Derby, to the delight of all the fans in attendence.
Before the next bout began, the kids came out to have a derby of their own. As luck would have it, another girl would reign supreme over all of the boys and take the trophy for first place. Soon after a couple more rounds of cars smashing in to each other brought the crowd to their feet.
As the show was finishing, Nashville artist C.J. Solar took the stage to warm up the outdoor crowd. And once all of the show inside was done, the one and only .38 Special brought their show to the stage for the first time in Belton. The band delighted the crowd, older fans that have been following them since the 80’s, along with new fans, with classic hits like Second Chance, Rockin’ Into The Night, Caught Up In You, and Hold On Loosely.
